Cost per ton (CPT) is the most  effective measurement of performance of mining machineries.

        

            CPT= Cost per hour(CPH)(Ownership+operating)/Ton per hour(TPH)(Production)

                 Parameters affecting CPT are- cycle time,efficiency(usability=availability.utilisation),initial investment in machinery,operating cost etc.
