   Q: 1. What is Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) ?

           A:1. ERP is an integrated suit of application software modules providing operational,managerial and srategic information for improving productivity,quality and competitiveness.
                    ERP system optimise the 4 m's-men,machines,materials and money.
 Q.2.  What is Global Positioning System (GPS)  ?What are it's limitations ?

    A.   GPS is a satellite based tracking system  used to determine the position(latitude,longitude &altitude) ,velocity&time using GPS receivers and radio signals broadcasted  from GPS satellites.It has 3 parts-namely space segment,user segment and control segment.

     The limitations of GPS  are followings...a. Availability of satellites b.  satellite geometry  c. multipath
                                d. configuration of area of interest  e. atmospheric effects.

      A.   Systematic approach in production management consists of 5 steps-i. Selection of the operation for imrovement   ii. Collecting facts by breaking down the operation  into detailed steps.  iii. Analyze the facts by a system of questionnaires  iv. Formulation of new method    v. Develop and install new method
